This webinar will discuss some of the basic questions each person should ask before starting a nonprofit organization. It will also discuss how to form a nonprofit corporation in D.C. and what are the necessary steps to take in order to obtain tax exempt status.

Join Regina Hopkins as she discusses these crucial topics. Regina is the Assistant Director of the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program and has been responsible for the Community Economic Development Project since January 2006. Regina worked for nine years as a tax attorney in New York City, before joining Habitat for Humanity International. She served as general counsel from 1993 to 2005.

The webinar will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 12 noon Eastern Time and last 60 minutes.
