The East of the River Casehandlers group invites you to an information session on the 2013 Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) featuring a presentation by Imoni Washington of the DC Bar Foundation. The DCBF administers the LRAP program which provides roughly 50 poverty lawyers working in the District with interest-free, forgivable loans, based on law school educational debt, of up to $1,000 per month. LRAP applications are due November 5, 2012, and this is your opportunity to get answers to any last-minute questions you may have about the program and the application process including eligibility and selection criteria. We also encourage any law students or lawyers interested in volunteering in communities east of the river to come learn more about the work of the East of the River Casehandlers and all of the legal services providers that serve these communities. This event is free but pre-registration is requested. To register, contact Heather Hodges at hhodges@nlsp.org or 202.269.5119.
