October 29th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Joe Brown Park in New Orleans East a disaster legal clinic will be held for homeowners affected by Hurricane Ida . Southeast LA Legal Services, the New Orleans Pro Bono Project, Louisiana Appleseed, the GNO Louis A. Martinet Society  the LSBA Young Lawyers Division and the City of New Orleans are joining forces to staff this clinic with legal aid and pro bono attorneys. The plan is to have several tables, each for a specific legal issue, and to staff those tables with 2-3 volunteers in two hour shifts. We’d like to cover these legal issues at the event: insurance claims, FEMA issues, successions, bankruptcy, contractor disputes, family law, and to provide a table for notary services.
