God does not give you more than you can bear? How did we get here? A history of violence
normalized against Black women. This seminar will trace how inequity based upon antiBlackness became encoded in the laws of the United States. The focus of the presentation is
demonstrating how racism and sexism against Black women are embedded as a structural
problem and much be addressed as such, rather than judging incidents as good versus bad
people.
