Chester County Bar Association logoThe Chester County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee is hosting a free Access to Justice Pro Bono CLE Seminar on October 22, 2021 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Chester County Bar Association, 15 W. Gay St. #2, West Chester, PA 19380.

There is no cost to attend but you must agree to take an "Access to Justice" case.

  • Program: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.

This FREE three-credit course is offered to Chester County Bar Association (CCBA) members to assist them in representation of custody and Protection from Abuse (PFA) clients through the CCBA Access to Justice and Pro Bono programs. In exchange for three credits, participants agree to take one Access to Justice or pro bono case.

Judge Allison Bell-Royer, a family court judge, along with Julie Manser, Esq., a custody conciliator, and a panel of five seasoned family law attorneys will educate attendees on how to prepare and prosecute a custody case.

As part of the panel, Rachel Houseman, LASP Chester County Managing Attorney, and Brian Doyle, LASP Staff Attorney & Chester County Pro Bono Coordinator, will prepare volunteers on how to handle PFA filings. The highlight of the presentation is a mock custody conciliation.
