This training will provide an overview of Wyoming's Guardianship and Conservatorship laws to help practitioners determine when a guardianship or conservatorship is appropriate and explain the basic process for filing for a guardianship or conservatorship. The session will discuss some common and not so common situations that may present particular challenges to the attorney, like when a guardianship can be helpful to avoid or encourage the need for an involuntary commitment when an individual presents a danger to themselves or others. Attendees will also be provided with a list of resources that may be helpful when pursing guardianships and conservatorships.
