Please join the staff of Lutheran Social Services of ND and The Advocates for Human Rights to learn tips and best practices for serving immigrant clients in ND, including information about resources that may be helpful to your immigrant clients, spotting potential eligibility for common forms of immigration relief and where to refer eligible clients, how to respectfully discuss challenging issues with immigrant clients, and pro bono opportunities for ND-licensed attorneys interested in assisting children and families eligible for immigration relief. Attorneys will receive a brief introduction to best practices in representing asylum seekers, Special Immigrant Juveniles, and/or trafficking survivors in ND and learn about next steps to get involved in this much-needed work.
