Pilot Project, Part 2, October – December 2019


The ADR Section of the Austin Bar Association will begin Part 2 of its pilot Courthouse Mediation Project on Friday, October 11, 2019.


This free mediation project will run for a second trial period of three months, in order for the judges and volunteer mediators to determine if the service is useful to litigants and their counsel. (The ADR Section’s first trial period ran from January – March 2019.)


The ADR Section will have volunteer mediators available at the 8:30 a.m. Family Law Docket (called by an Associate Judge) on two Fridays per month from October through December 2019

Mediation dates are:
October 11, 2019;
October 25, 2019;
November 8, 2019;
November 22, 2019;
December 6, 2019; and
December 13, 2019.


This pilot project is intended as a public service and is not solely a pro bono project. The mediation services will be free to any interested attorneys and parties with cases on the Family Law Docket that day.
