Mid Minnesota Legal Aid and the Minnesota Disability Law Center invite you to take part in our annual "Accessibility at the Polls" event this upcoming Election Day. This year, on Tuesday, November 5, we are looking for volunteers to join us in examining accessibility at Minnesota Polling Places. Volunteers must know how to use a tape measure, be comfortable speaking with polling officials and act professionally during the event.

To volunteer, you must have either attended a previous training session, or take part in one of our two upcoming training sessions on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 16th, or at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 31st. The session on October 16th will be at the Legal Aid offices – 430 First Ave N., Ste. 300, Minneapolis, MN 55401. The session on October 31st will be at the NEW Legal Aid offices – 111 North 5th Street, Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

Volunteers must be able to drive, or be able to carpool with a person who can drive, to outstate polling locations. We ask that volunteers visit 3-5 polling locations, each location will take approximately 30 minutes to properly survey.
The goal of this project is to ensure that all Minnesotans who want to vote are able to access their home polling site!
