Houston Volunteer Lawyers is hosting its annual Family Law Seminar.

Divorce, Custody, support, remain one of the largest legal needs of low-income Houstonians. HVL's long-running Family Law Seminar is an opportunity to learn from experts on how to handle such a case. From how to file for an indigent client, to what to file when, to what other legal issues might overlap with case, and even an opportunity to hear from sitting Family Judges on what to expect in their courtrooms, this seminar is designed to give you the tools to handle one of these cases. It is a chance to learn not just the necessary aspects of family law, but also the changing nature of pro bono representation with new updates to the rules regarding indigent clients.
