In addition to FREE educational sessions listed below, participants will be able to complete requirements for their divorce with children and custody cases by attending a FREE Medation Session and a FREE Parenting Class Session. There is limited availability for the Parenting Class and Mediation Sessions and pre-registration is required, so please reach out to your Family Court Facilitator or call (720) 865-8440 to register.

Educational Sessions being offered:
•Session 1 – 9:00am-10:00am ?Small Claims ?Learn how to plan, file, and take your small claims case to trial (for claims under $7,500).


•Session 2 – 10:00am-11:00am ?Name and Gender Marker Changes ?Learn how to legally change your name or gender marker.

?Power of Attorney/Living Will Informational Presentation by Metro Volunteer Lawyers ?Learn about what Powers of Attorney and Living Wills are and how to choose someone to make medical and financial decisions for you in case you are ever unable to do so in the future.


•Session 3 – 11:00am-12:00pm ?Estate Planning 101 ?Tips and tricks for simple estate planning, drafting a will, and possible results of death without a will.


•Session 4 – 1:15pm-2:00pm ?Now You Have a Child Support Order – What Next? / Introduction to Human Services Navigator ?How to collect, enforce, and modify a child support order, and a question and answer session with a Human Services Navigator with a summary of services provided (it’s more than you think!).


•Session 5 – 2:00pm-3:00pm ?Landlord & Tenant Rights and Obligations ?Learn what landlords and tenant can and cannot do.
