The Legal Clinic for the Disabled (LCD) is holding its annual Fall Celebration on October 17, 2019 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Masonic Library & Museum Of Pennsylvania, 1 N Broad St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107.

Honoring Matthew I. Whitehorn of Dilworth Paxson LLP with this year's Special Recognition Award.  Also honoring Ron Siggs and Magee Rehabilitation - Jefferson Health's Development Dept. Staff and Art-Reach with White Hat Awards.

LCD provides free legal services to low-income people with disabilities and to the deaf and hard of hearing in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. Since 1987, LCD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with offices at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, has helped thousands of Pennsylvanians with disabilities.

Most of the clients LCD serve experience physical limitations in their daily activities, and many have suffered catastrophic injuries or illnesses like stroke, spinal cord or brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cancer, advanced diabetes, glaucoma, AIDS, amputation or epilepsy. Our services help them overcome legal barriers that impact their ability to live safely and independently in their communities.

LCD attorneys are based across seven sites within the Philadelphia area; we train nurses, doctors, residents, social workers and health care staff to identify social determinants to health that are legal in nature and impact positive health care outcomes.
