Dear prospective volunteers,
Fordham Law School’s Feerick Center for Social Justice invites attorneys to an Information Session for the Volunteer Lawyers for Veterans ("VLV") program. VLV's mission is to recruit, train, and support volunteer attorneys to provide civil legal services to veterans and military families. VLV attorneys serve veterans through legal clinics, know-your-rights presentations, and limited-scope representation in the areas of consumer debt, VA benefits, and family law.

The information session will introduce and provide valuable information on the following programs:
The Student Veterans Know-Your-Rights Campaign, which brings student veterans together on college campuses to learn about the VA benefits they are entitled to and how they can obtain them.
The 2019 Veterans and Military Families Month Clinic, a large-scale clinic held in November, where volunteer attorneys provide limited-scope legal assistance to veterans in several areas of law.
The Veterans Claims Assistance Network, a flexible limited-scope program which pairs veterans in need of assistance with filing initial VA disability claims with trained attorneys to represent them, operated through the American Bar Association Military and Veterans Legal Center.
and more!
