Eligibility for public benefits for non-citizens is complicated. Allison Miles-Lee (Bread for the City), Denise Hunter (Whitman-Walker Health) and Krisztina Szabo (Whitman-Walker Health) will provide an introductory overview of immigrant eligibility for D.C. and federal public benefit programs. Presenters will also provide an overview of common immigration statuses for D.C.-area residents, the public charge ground of inadmissibility, and immigration status and eligibility for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
