This 30-minute workshop explores the different types of powers of attorneys and helps explain the difference between executing a power of attorney and obtaining a conservatorship.

This workshop is designed to help the attendee understand the different types of powers of attorneys and important considerations to make when executing the legal instrument. Learn the difference between supported decision-making and substitute decision-making.

Presented by Bet Tzedek Legal Services we will review what is involved in naming an agent, the scope of an agent's authority, and how to revoke a power of attorney. The presentation will end by explaining the difference between powers of attorney and conservatorship.
