Featured Documentary: The Loving Story, a documentary: In 1967, two pro bono attorneys from the ACLU took Mildred and Richard Loving's case all the way to the Supreme Court. Mildred, an African-American woman, and Richard, a white man, married each other, despite Virginia's prohibition against interracial marriage; they were arrested and forced to leave Virginia. The Supreme Court, in Loving v. Virginia, subsequently struck down as unconstitutional laws prohibiting interracial marriage.
