Philadelphia LawWorks, a project of Philadelphia VIP, is proud to announce Saul Ewing will be sponsoring our September 2017 Nonprofit Clinic on September 28, 2017 from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm at The Free Library of Philadelphia.

At this clinic, volunteer attorneys provide free legal advice to Philadelphia area nonprofits to ensure that they are in compliance with relevant law.

Prior to the counseling sessions, VIP will provide a free 1-hour CLE seminar on nonprofit legal compliance for attorney’s attending. During this clinic, experts on nonprofit law will be available to assist volunteers.

Clients will have the chance to:

• Meet with volunteer attorneys who will walk them through LawWorks’s Nonprofit Legal Assessment Checklist to ensure their nonprofit organization operates legally and complies with the law.
• Ask volunteer attorneys questions about corporate governance issues, conflicts of interest, indemnification, intellectual property, commercial leases, employees and consultants, contracts, and other nonprofit legal issues.

Registration for Volunteer attorneys will begin at 9:30 am.
Registration for Nonprofit Clients will begin at 10:00 am.
