Custody Advocacy Volunteer Training

Council for Children's Rights Custody Advocacy Program (CAP) will host a day-long volunteer training session from 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Children and Family Services Center in Training Rooms 1 & 2 on the first floor.

This seminar is for attorneys who are interested in pro bono representation of children, as well as paralegals and other community members who are interested in serving as custody advocates. (Note that attorney representation does not require courtroom experience or first chair courtroom participation.) This training is required for all CAP volunteers. Attorneys and paralegals will receive 7.75 hours of general CLE or CPE credit (CLE and CPE credit approval pending).

Time: Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
CLE Seminar: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Morning snacks and lunch will be provided

Costs:
$75 per paralegal/ $50 per paralegal with volunteer commitment*
$350 per attorney/ $100 per attorney with pro bono commitment*
No cost for attendees not seeking any continuing education credits
*Volunteer application must be completed before receiving volunteer rate
