Laura F. Laemmle-Weidenfeld | Partner, Jones Day (Washington, D.C.)

Laura Laemmle-Weidenfeld defends health care and life sciences clients against civil and criminal government investigations and litigation relating to allegations of fraud and abuse, particularly under the False Claims Act. She defends against investigations brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General, state attorneys general, and other state and federal agencies.

Laura also counsels clients on compliance-related issues, including potential self-disclosures to federal and state components. She has represented a broad spectrum of health care providers, including hospitals and health systems, home health care agencies, clinical laboratories, skilled nursing facilities, and pharmacies, as well as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
