"The State Bar of Michigan's Domestic Violence Committee is offering an in-person training at Bodman PLC, Ford Field, with a simultaneous webinar. This training will focus on how trauma can impact your practice and the key elements of trauma informed practice, including how you can be aware of trauma and understand how a traumatic experience can affect a person's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive functioning. The event is free of charge with the commitment to accept a pro bono family law case within six months of the training.
The training will be provided by Ashley Lowe, J.D., chief executive officer of Lakeshore Legal Aid, and Dr. Johanna Soet Buzolits, PhD, psychologist and a project director at the Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board.
