In many cases vacating a criminal conviction is the only solution for a noncitizen with a criminal record. In this webinar, participants will learn about new legislation that can erase the immigration consequences of a California criminal conviction, regardless of the type of conviction or when it occurred. Participants will learn how to file a successful post-conviction relief petition in criminal court, including how to identify a winning case, choose an appropriate legal vehicle, and make a persuasive claim so that immigrants can defeat deportability and open up new pathways to relief.
