The National Legal Aid and Defender Association will be holding its 2016 Annual Conference on November 9-12, 2016 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Early Registration for the conference is currently open and will continue until September 16. Regular Registration rates will be available from September 17 through October 14. Late Registration will be available after October 15. Registration information.

This year’s conference theme is “Advocacy at a Crossroads: Equality, Justice, and Human Rights.” This is an election year, and throughout the nation, from presidential campaigns to congressional races and local elections, the sense that we are at a collective crossroads is everywhere. As we come together in the “Crossroads of America,” the conference will explore how our advocacy efforts can protect equality, justice, and human rights for the people we serve.

NLADA’s Annual Conference is the leading national training event of the year for the civil legal aid, indigent defense, and public interest law communities. The conference offers advocates the substantive information and professional skills they need to respond to the legal needs of low-income people, provides unparalleled opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues from across the country, and helps fulfill continuing legal education requirements.

All conference events will be at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, located at 350 West Maryland Street in Indianapolis.
