Attorneys will enjoy lunch, an introduction to Legal Aid of Western Missouri's Adopt-a-Neighborhood Project, and a CLE program on beneficiary deeds, featuring Becca McQuillen, Kayla Hogan, and Peter Hoffman of Legal Aid. Attendees will learn how beneficiary deeds can provide Missouri homeowners with a simple method to avoid the probate process on their real property and avoid blight and abandoned housing in their neighborhoods. This CLE will serve as a training for volunteers for Stinson Leonard Street's Beneficiary Deeds Clinic to be held in the Marlborough neighborhood on October 30, 2015, as part of the ABA Day of Service.
