The Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC) offers "Brief Advice and Referral Clinics" for low-income individuals throughout Columbus. Volunteer attorneys are available to analyze problems, identify community resources, and offer legal advice on a variety of civil legal topics. LASC provides training, mentors, and support.
This clinic is a collaboration with the Broad Street United Methodist Church.
- CLE Credit Comments: Hours spent volunteering at this clinic can go towards CLE credit for pro bono service. For every six hours you volunteer to assist low-income clients through an LASC pro bono project, you can earn one hour of CLE credit, up to a total of six hours of CLE per reporting period.
