The Community Justice Program (CJP) will host a pro bono family law clinic on Tuesday, October 22 at the Texas RioGrande Legal Aid offices (1111 N. Main Ave., SA TX 78212). The CJP is designed to allow attorneys fromall practice areas the opportunity to participate.

The CJP Family Law Clinic provides complete legal services for low-income residents in Bexar County that have uncontested civil matters (mostly simple, uncontested divorces), including attorneys, district clerks, notaries, interpreters, support staff, and judges (all working on a volunteer basis).
Volunteer attorney mentors are also available to answer questions that may arise.

All clients are prescreened for income eligibility and case type by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. The CJP accepts uncontested family law/civil law matters that include divorce, adoption proceedings and name changes. All volunteer attorneys are eligible to receive up to 5 free CLE hours, including 1 hour of ethics CLE.
