LAF and the Illinois State Bar Association's Delivery of Legal Services Committee is please to co-sponsor a CLE for pro bono attorneys in honor of Pro Bono Week 2013:

TWO'S COMPANY, THREE'S A CROWD

When providing pro bono representation to an individual, there is a good chance that the client has never worked with an attorney before and the client may bring additional people along to attorney-client meetings. This session will offer a primer on the rules for attorney-client privilege and how the presence of third parties can waive that privilege. Then the session will invite the learners to address the practicalities of explaining privilege to an unsophisticated client and determining whether the client has given informed consent to include a third party in the meeting.

This training is free and open to the Chicago legal community in celebration of Pro Bono Week 2013. It is offered in person at LAF's Loop Office (120 S. LaSalle, Suite 900) or online. One hour of Professionalism CLE credit will be provided. Due to limited resources, lunch will not be provided, but please feel free to bring your own.

Seating is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reserve your space by registering online on Illinoisprobono.org.
