The North Shore Pro Bono Project of Southeast Louisiana Legal Services is holding a free "Ask a Lawyer" day from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 25th, 2013, at the Covington Branch of the St. Tammany Parish Library at 310 W. 21st Avenue.
Participants are welcome to walk in or to call 1-800-891-0076 to schedule an appointment.
Attorneys will conduct individual 10-to-15-minute conferences, covering areas like divorce, custody, wills and successions, power of attorney, interdiction, tutorship, bankruptcy, and expungements to name just a few.
Persons who participate in Ask-A-Lawyer must sign statements verifying that they understand that the interviewing attorney will not be opening a case, but is simply there to provide some legal guidance and information on additional community resources.
For matters that may require full representation, persons may be referred to Southeast Louisiana Legal Services to apply for legal services.
