On October 23, 2012 the Berks County Bar Association is recognizing those individuals who have served on the Berks Pro Bono Team by either volunteering at MidPenn Legal Services from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012 or paying the "opt-out" fee in 2012.

The celebration will take place beginning with a lunch at 11:45 a.m. at The Abraham Lincoln - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, located at 100 North Fifth Street, Reading, PA 19601. The keynote speaker at the luncheon will be longtime legal aid advocate and pro bono champion, former Pennsylvania Governor and United States Attorney General Dick Thornburgh.

The Celebration will also feature two one-hour CLE sessions, Pro Bono from Your Desk: PA SeniorLAW HelpLine (substantive) and Civil Gideon and Help for the Pro Bono Attorney (ethics), presented by Pennsylvania Bar Association Pro Bono Director David Keller Trevaskis, Esquire.

The celebration will conclude with a reception, following the CLE presentations, at 4:00 p.m.
