Utah Valley University's Woodbury School of Business will host the fourth annual free legal clinic on TUESDAY Oct. 23, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the UVU library in the Timpanogos Room. The clinic offers free legal consultations from attorneys in the community.
Participants meet one-on-one with attorneys and receive personal consultations. Legal volunteers include professionals from a variety of practices including: adoption, family, employment, immigration and other practices of law.
"The clinic offers a very broad spectrum of legal expertise," said Morgan Fife, attorney for Robinson, Seiler & Anderson, LC. "People that attend are able to receive assistance for all sorts of litigation. We're able to provide free legal consultation to the community."
Attorneys from the Central Utah Bar Association volunteer their time to staff the clinic. UVU legal studies students will assist by helping organize and manage the clinic.
Volunteering at the community clinic is a great learning experience for anyone in the legal program," said Kimberly Williamson, UVU student. "Its really practical learning. There is a sense of accomplishment in seeing the community benefit from our efforts."
