The "Bridge the Gap" training program focuses on recruitment of new graduates and newly admitted attorneys to encourage them to get involved in pro bono early in their careers and to fulfill their first or second year mandatory continuing legal education (CLE) requirements. The training offers a total of 16 CLE credits: 7 professional practice credits, 6 skills credits and 3 ethics credit hours. In exchange for the 16 CLE credits, lawyers commit to complete a 50-hour supervised pro bono practicum within 6 months of training in the New York City Civil and Supreme Courts, assisting litigants with housing, consumer debt and uncontested divorce matters in the NYS Courts Access to Justice Program's unbundled legal services programs
