Topics:

  • Seminar
  • Continuing Legal Education Program (CLE)
  • Pro Bono

The Year of the Provider, brings together lawyers in all facets of legal practice to discuss how we can encourage more attorneys to participate in pro bono legal services and lend support to those who are already part of our pro bono community. The conference will present an opportunity to learn about:

The ways in which pro bono legal services have touched the lives of those who have used them;
Ways in which retired attorneys, solo practitioners, small law firms, large law firms, in-house legal departments and public interest organizations can increase pro bono involvement in a manner that enriches their practice and helps to serve the needs of the community;
The results of the in-depth research conducted by the NJSBA's Pro Bono Task Force;
Ethics and professionalism rules and cases that should guide providers in their pro bono work.
Through plenary sessions, panels and networking opportunities, the conference provides a wide range of learning and sharing experiences for all attendees, including corporate counsel, private lawyers, senior attorneys, law firms, pro bono and legal services program staff, judges and others.
