In honor of Pro Bono Week, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program will host its annual Pro Bono Partnership (PART) Luncheon on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program will begin with a Pro Bono Fair followed by a luncheon program that will include keynote speaker Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the State of New York and Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals. Judge Lippman has proposed that starting next year, prospective lawyers must show they have performed at least 50 hours of law-related pro bono service before being admitted to the New York state bar.
