Responders First Outreach Event in Northwest Arkansas

Volunteer attorneys will be available on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center to prepare simple wills, advance directives, and powers of attorney for health care and financial matters to first responders in Northwest Arkansas, including firefighters, police officers, and emergency health care workers. This is a free service provided by Arkansas lawyers from multiple organizations, law firms, bar associations and the University of Arkansas School of Law. Click here for location details.

A free CLE-accredited training session will be provided beginning at noon, with lunch to be provided. Volunteers will work under the sponsorship of Legal Aid of Arkansas, which provides secondary malpractice insurance. Attorneys wishing to volunteer may sign up online or contact Rebecca von Groote at (479) 575-2305 or via email. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up by Friday, October 25, 2011.
