We are providing four hours of CLE free for our FW-TCYLA members, including an hour of ethics and a free lunch. Our first speaker will be Hannah Kapasi, staff attorney at the Texas Access to Justice Commission in Austin to present a 1 hour ethics CLE regarding the need for pro bono involvement in ensuring equal access to justice for those who cannot afford legal services. The other speakers will speak on landlord/tenant law, basic wills, consumer law, and family law giving instructions on how to handle pro bono cases in these areas to prepare attendees for accepting such a case.

We are working with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas to have their Access to Justice Coordinator present at the CLE to administer their volunteer forms and sign up volunteers. The only "fee" to participate is that participants will be requested to take at least one pro bono case from Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
