New York County Lawyers' Association Premieres First Annual Film Festival

Sponsored by NYCLA's Art Committee, the Festival offers a series of films that have garnered acclaim in film festivals throughout the United States and the world. Admission to the Festival is $5 for each evening, which includes the screening of one short and one full-length feature, and beer and popcorn. Proceeds will help underwrite NYCLA's pro bono programs that assist hundreds of New Yorkers each year.

On the Opening Night, October 18,NYCLA's First Annual Film Festival, sponsored by the Art Committee,will feature the theme "Crime Night", and the movies shown will be "Collar: The Movie" and "L'Accordatore" ("The Tuner").

The Festival will continue with a full-length film, Assata and short film, Miranda, on Wednesday, November 3 at 6:00 PM at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street.

Select screenwriters, directors and actors will be present to engage the audience in dialogue about the films. Proceeds from the film festival will help underwrite NYCLA's pro bono programs, which assist hundreds of New Yorkers each year. The $5 admission includes beer and popcorn.
