Troutman Sanders and the Northwestern Unviersity Law School's Human Rights Project partnered to hold a series of six coffee talks where students can learn about human rights-related research and advocacy that professors, law firms and other leaders in the community are undertaking. The October coffee talk will be held at Troutman Sanders Chicago office. Sandra Babcock will speak about her work on Avena and Medellin, two interconnected cases that have huge implications for the death penalty in the United States as well as for US compliance with international law.
