Chief Justice Thomas Moyer, Supreme Court of Ohio will serve as the keynote speaker at the 2009 Columbus Bar Foundation and Columbus Bar Association Pro Bono Awards of Excellence Luncheon to be held on October 30, 2009. Three Pro Bono Awards of Excellence will be given to:

Honorable William Klatt, 10th District Court of AppealsOutstanding Pro Bono Service by a member of the Judiciary

LeeAnn Massucci, Outstanding Pro Bono Service by an individual, and

Bricker & Eckler, Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Law Firm.

In addition, the Legal Aid Society of Columbus will present its Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award at the luncheon.

A CLE for pro bono volunteers also will be held on October 27, 2009.

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman has proclaimed that October 30, 2009 is Legal Pro Bono Service Day in Columbus Ohio.
