The CLARO Program Partners: Bronx County Bar Association, Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Brooklyn Law School, Fordham Law School's Feerick Center for Social Justice, New York City Bar Association, New York County Lawyers' Association, Queens County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Richmond County Bar Association, Staten Island Women's Bar Association, and Wagner College present:

Your Commitment
This course is FREE to those who volunteer for six total hours with CLARO by July 14, 2014. The commitment may be different for the Civil Court programs.

Volunteers may serve one of the following consumer debt pro se assistance programs, all of which provide limited legal advice to unrepresented consumers: Bronx CLARO; Brooklyn CLARO; Manhattan CLARO (must be a NYCLA member or Fordham Law School alumnus/a); Queens CLARO; Staten Island CLARO; The Civil Court Consumer Debt Lawyer for the Day Program; The Civil Court Help Center Consumer Debt Advice Program; and Westchester CLARO.

Volunteer Profile

Pat Layden, a private practitioner in McAlester, Oklahoma, has volunteered many hours to promote equal access to justice in Oklahoma. He served Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma Inc. as Board member and past President of the Board and as a pro bono attorney. Pro Bono Net thanks Legal Aid Services of Oklahama (LASO) for sharing this inspiring volunteer story about his work on a hotly contested child custody case where a young mother, with a critically ill infant was involved in a custody battle over her one–year old daughter.
