The Human Rights Summit was established by Human Rights First to celebrate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and bring international activists, U.S. policymakers, military and business leaders together to discuss today's central human rights challenges and to reaffirm the importance of U.S. global leadership on human rights. The 2013 Human Rights Summit will take place on December 4-5 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
