Pro Bono Net

A Conversation with Judge Jonathan Lippman

On June 7th, Pro Bono Net’s Executive Director, Mark O’Brien, sat down for a conversation with Judge Jonathan Lippman, former Chief Judge of New York, to discuss the role of innovation and technology in access to justice. We invited a few partners and supporters to join us for an informal exchange of ideas following the conversation on access to justice and Pro Bono Net's new initiatives. We extend our gratitude to Judge Lippman for his thoughtful insights, and to Latham & Watkins for hosting the event.

CBJC's Veterans Assistance Project

The City Bar Justice Center’s Veterans Assistance Project (VAP) provides disabled, low-income veterans in New York City with pro bono legal assistance on issues related to claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. VAP’s successful advocacy relies on pro bono attorneys’ creativity and hard work, and the project is pleased to highlight recent wins by three different attorney teams from Loeb & Loeb, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
