State Justice Portal Initiative

To address the growing need for legal aid in the United States the Legal Services Corporation, in partnership with Microsoft Corporation and Pro Bono Net, is creating online, statewide "legal portals" to direct individuals with civil legal needs to the most appropriate forms of assistance.

Previous Events

Pro Bono Net would like to extend its gratitude to all of our speakers and hosts, without whom these events wouldn't have been successful. We would also like to thank our donors, partners and supporters for coming out to our events.

Immigration Roundtable Breakfast

On October 5th, 2017 we were joined by supporters and friends in the legal aid community for a roundtable on immigration. Matthew Burnett, Immigration Advocates Network Director, moderated a panel of distinguished guests discussing the current immigration landscape and how the legal community can help to protect the rights of immigrants and ensure fair treatment and due process for all. As changes to immigration policy under the new administration continue to emerge, it is imperative now, more than ever, to ensure that the legal community is prepared to respond.

A Conversation with Judge Jonathan Lippman

Former New York Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman joined Pro Bono Net on June 7th, 2016, for a conversation with our Executive Director, Mark O'Brien. They discussed the role of technology and pro bono in advancing access to justice in New York, along with several exciting new initiatives Pro Bono Net is working on in 2016. We extend our gratitude to Latham & Watkins for hosting.

We would like to thank our guests for attending and supporting Pro Bono Net's mission. We extend our gratitude to Latham & Watkins for hosting.

West Coast

On September 29th, 2015 Pro Bono Net held an event to discuss our work and its impact on the issues facing those in need. Held in Palo Alto, this event was attended by friends of Pro Bono Net and other interested firms, organizations and individuals. We would like to thank our guests for attending and learning more about Pro Bono Net. We also extend our gratitude to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for hosting.

15th Anniversary Celebration

On September 23rd, 2014, Pro Bono Net came together with many of our partners and supporters to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Thanks to host firm Latham & Watkins, guests enjoyed a beautiful evening under the stars. The event honored our founding board chair, Michael Cooper, and recognized our justice community partners. It was a tremendous honor for us to have Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman join us and offer special remarks. The Chief Judge spoke forcefully about the importance of equal access to justice and underlined the importance of our work in achieving that vision.
