Georgia Lawyers for the Arts (GLA) exists to serve the legal needs of artists and arts organizations, to promote closer contact and understanding among members of the legal profession and the arts community, and to educate artists about their legal rights and responsibilities. GLA places cases for Georgia resident artists and arts organizations with attorneys who can offer pro bono services. These cases often involve legal issues in the fields of copyright, trademark, contracts, employment, corporate, and litigation.

GLA's PATENTS program is a pro bono program to assist solo inventors and small businesses in the filing of patents with the USPTO. GLA vets inventor claims to place with attorneys who can assist in the pro bono filing of utility and/or design claims, and represent them through issuance, abandonment, or a final rejection. Note: We do have malpractice insurance available for in-house counsel and retired attorneys.
