No Criminal Cases - Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke or Washington County, Alabama, Residency - Subject Matter Financial Eligibility (Legal Services Eligibility)

The kinds of cases normally accepted are:

  • Adoption by agreement
  • Advice before being sued
  • Change of custody by agreement
  • Child support modifications
  • Collection of judgments (under $3000)
  • Contracts and warranties
  • Credit access and debt collection
  • Deeds and home ownership issues
  • Enforcement of court order from divorce involving children (excluding child support)
  • Enforcement of worker's compensation (under $1000 or for medical expenses)
  • Guardianship and conservatorship
  • Landlord-Tenant matters
  • Name changes (minor and adult)
  • Paternity/legitimation by agreement
  • Power of attorney
  • Uncontested divorce by agreement (no minor children from the union)
  • Visitation enforcement (with prior court order)
  • Wage claims (under $1000)
  • Wills, living wills, and small estates
  • County(s) of Volunteer Opportunity: Baldwin, Clarke, Mobile, Washington
