1. What are these new widgets all about?
Below are descriptions of the new widgets you have the option of adding to your site's Geo or practice area home pages or on flexible content pages. To request a widget, please email support@probono.net.
FCKEditor box: This is a regular FCKEdit box, which you can use much like ActivEdit to add and edit custom HTML content to your site. The "What's New" section in the SWEB homepage sidebar is an example: http://www.probono.net/statewebsites
RSS widget: You can use this to automatically incorporate an RSS feed from another site into your site. You can assign the number of items to display on the page and edit the title above the widget. The "Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network e-News" section here is an example: http://www.paprobono.net/. Other feeds are available on http://rss.lstech.org/.
What's New Widget: This widget will display the most recent content from several of the built-in tool pages of the advocate template. All content titles will link directly to the item's detail page in the appropriate tool.
- News: This option draws and displays content automatically from your site's news page. The widget will pull the most recently added/edited content. You can set the number of items to display in the widget and edit the title above it. The "News Updates from PAProbono.net" is an example: http://www.paprobono.net
- Calendar: This functions the same as the News widget, but draws from the calendar page on your site. The widget will pull the most recently added/edited calendar content. You can set the number of items to display in the widget and edit the title above it. The "Upcoming Events" section on probono.net/NY is an example: http://www.probono.net/ny/
- Flexible pages: You can now select the name of any flexible page on your website to display the most recently updated child pages in the What's New widget.
Logo/Sponsorship widget: This widget displays multiple logos or images with links, or one image at a time on rotation when the page is refreshed. It can be placed in the center column of the page, as on http://www.probono.net/ok/, or in the right sidebar as on http://www.probono.net/ and http://www.pblo.org. You can edit the title above the widget.
2. Why doesn't the Forgot Password link work?
The "forgot password" page links changed after the redesign. Please update on your Help/About /Home pages accordingly. The new page name is "login/reset-password" (i.e. www.montanaprobono.net/login/reset-password).
3. Why don't email addresses and links automatically hyperlink in FCKeditor when I am using Firefox?
This appears to be a Firefox bug and is not related to FCKeditor nor probono.net's implementation. We are monitoring the fix for this and will implement as soon as it is available.
4. How often does the Roster Download report update?
There is an automated task that runs every night at 2am ET for approx. 30 minutes looking for roster downloads that are more than 7 days old. When it finds one, it updates the file. If your download is not older than 7 days, it will not update until it is.
