Introduction to Elder Law & Conservatorships

Estate planning for seniors and adults with disabilities is not limited to wills and trusts, but also requires attention to health care issues, financial solvency, planning for incapacity, and Medi-Cal eligibility. We will discuss the importance of determining legal capacity and providing timely and effective document drafting and execution. This training will address the basics of estate planning and issues of legal capacity, including Advance Health Care Directives, Durable Powers of Attorney for Property and Finances, and Conservatorships of the Person and/or Estate.
