Organization Description:


Legal Aid provides free attorney consultations and prepares legal documents which allow low income residents access to the court system to address problems with family law, guardianships, conservatorships, individual rights, landlord/tenant and foreclosure disputes. Clients seeking court orders are educated, provided the prepared legal documents and procedural information allowing these clients to personally and proactively address legal dilemmas. Clients attain improved knowledge, which allows them to make informed decisions; and, they are assisted through the process to take lawful action resolving disputes toward more peaceful home life, stabilized income, access to healthcare services, and more self-sufficient lifestyles.

Pro Bono Project Description:

Legal Clinics:
We host Legal Clinics at our office in San Bernardino on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., and on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. We deliver services to six other sites as follows:

  • 2nd Monday of each month, at 1:30 p.m., Neighborhood Activity Center, 5201 N. "D" St., Chino, CA 91710
  • 4th Monday of each month, at 5:00 p.m., Family Resource Center, 9791 Arrow Rt., Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730
  • 1st & 3rd Tuesdays/ month, at 2:00 p.m.: High Desert Youth Academy, 15411 Village Dr., Victorville, CA 92392
  • 4th Tuesday/month at Noon, behind the Cora Harper Fitness Center, 851 Barstow Rd., Barstow, CA 92311
  • 2nd Wednesday/month, 10:00am, 29 Palms Marine Base, 8th & Bourke, Bldg. 1707, Rm. A, 29 Palms, CA 92277
  • 2nd & 4th Wednesdays/month, at 11:00am, Community Center, 6171 Sunburst Av., Joshua Tree, CA 92252


At each site, clients must be present upon opening. They can consult with an attorney on a broad spectrum of issues, and if pursuing Pro Se litigation, are then interviewed to secure needed information. Legal Aid staff prepares all case files at the San Bernardino office, then returns the files to the client, with procedural information, at the clinic site of the client's choice.
