APAC is a nonprofit community organization of manufactured (mobile) home residents in the Twin Cities nine county metro area. Through leadership development, grass roots organization and education, APAC works to improve the quality of life in manufactured home parks. APAC services include a hotline available to residents throughout Minnesota, community organizing in the nine county metro area, informational workshops, and tenant advocacy. A majority of manufactured home park residents are working poor and, when faced with desperate need, cannot afford necessary legal representation. Volunteer attorneys are needed primarily for legal assistance in eviction, retaliation, illegal park rules, and rent escrow cases.
