Court Sponsored Volunteer Attorney Program

The Civil Branch of the Supreme Court, Bronx County, utilizes a panel of approximately 100 attorneys designated by the Administrative Judge of the 12th Judicial District to represent indigent litigants in both contested and uncontested matrimonial proceedings. The criterion for selection is previous experience in representing litigants in matrimonial proceedings in Supreme Court, Bronx County. Attorneys are assigned randomly to the pending matters. The program is supervised by the Administrative Judge. Fluency in Spanish is useful, but not necessary.
