Partners for Women and Justice

Partners for Women and Justice is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides several types of free legal assistance to low income and abused women. Our services are limited to domestic violence and family law. Our pro bono programs seek volunteer attorneys to represent women in northern New Jersey in the following matters: final restraining orders, child support, visitation/custody and divorce. We provide the necessary training to attorneys who do not normally practice in this area. We also provide malpractice insurance to our volutneer attorneys.

  • Training / supervision comments: when conducted through certain law firms. We are working on our own certification as a CLE provider in New York.

  • CLE pro bono comments: Attorneys who volunteer 25 hours or more a year through our programs are exempted from the mandatory (Madden) assignment of pro bono cases in New Jersey.
