Find New Cases in your area
Legal Aid depends on volunteer lawyers to assist clients where we do not have enough staff lawyers to take the case for representation.
We post brief descriptions of these cases in our New Cases
pages. In the Advocate Resources Center, click on New Cases on the top navigation or go to this link:
If you are interested in a particular case, check the status to the right of the case. A case will be "Open" or "Pending Review." Click on the case title to view more information. Under the Case Management heading click on "Review this case" to indicate your interest. A coordinator will be in contact with you to discuss the case.
You can manage the case from this page by returning to Accept or Reject the case.
If you Accept the case, you may return to this page and indicate that you have completed representation.
If you Reject the case, that case is returned to the New Cases listing for another volunteer to review.
